I have a pair of all leather hiking boots that have been out in the garage . for @ 2 years..

I didn't do anyhting special to store them . just put them on a shelf.

The temp ranges in the garage are from @ 90 degrees F in the summer to @ 40 degrees in the Winter..

Any thoughts on what might have happended durign this time period ? E.g. Can they shrink . do the toes "deform" / Or, other parts of the boot suffer ??

Thanks

Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

The leather might shrink. The stitching might degrade, which will lead to blown out seams when they are used.

Try to wear them just a little, maybe walking around the block. Test them that way until you are sure that they are still good and that they still fit correctly.
