Very few reviews of this jacket online. Anyone has experience about this jacket?

I own a Rab Drillium, and have handled a number of their eVent shells in general, and can tell you that the jackets are worth the money, especially at Backcountry.com clearance prices. As a matter of fact, I just picked up a Rab Latok for 50% off at bc.com

If you want a eVent shell that is mountaineering/climbing capable (in terms of length, durability, and helmet compatible hood) get the the Rab Momentum…it's the lightest eVent Mountaineering shell available to date. The quality is excellent.

However, if you have no plans on climbing, or do not think you will need a helmet compatible hood for other snow-sports (e.g. snowboarding, skiing, drunken sledding) skip this jacket. You can find lighter eVent shells that are better suited for lightweight backpacking. A couple 10 oz and under eVent shells are going to hit the market this year, and will be worth the wait IMO

Konrad's spot on.

I don't own a Momentum, but for mountaineering, I have Rab's Latok Alpine jacket, pants, and gloves. I also use their gaiters and have an ice climbing pair of gloves as well; all with Event, and all absolutely first rate. They have exactly what you need, and nothing you don't, and the build quality is very high.

As Konrad said, this stuff is built for mountaineering. I wouldn't use it for general backpacking either, as there are lighter offerings. But I will say that Event feels superior in terms of moisture transpiration compared to any other fabric I've worn. It's why I went with Rab. Best value for dollar in bomber Event shells I think.
