What is the difference between nylon 6 and nylon 66? And how would you tell the difference between them.
    Thanks

    Paul, does AHE sell fabrics?

'Nylon 66: Material with a higher mechanical strength, stiffness, heat and wear resistance than Nylon 6. It also has a better creep resistance but its impact strength and mechanical damping ability are reduced. Well suited for machining on automatic lathes.'

I am not sure I have seen Nylon 6 used for fabric. Nylon 66 yes.

    Cheers

Momentum and Intrepid are type 6. FWIW. Although supposedly a few people are using it for hammock bodies.
