Was wondering if anyone has had the pleasure of using this bag. Looks like a fantastic bag and something I might like for a summer bag. Debating between this and the WM Highlite. The MLD bad is lighter, hoodless (which for me is not a problem becuase I never use my hood anyway, and I am a stomach sleeper too). MLD costs less (nearly $100 less) and the temp. range is pretty close. I am a warm sleeper and would be using this for coastal overnighters and such in California.
I have two Western Mountaineering bags and love them to death, so I am a little of a WM devotee so to speak.

I’m lusting after one too. I can’t decide between buying one or sewing one up myself with very small baffles.

Christopher if I only could sew!!! The price look very attractive and the design looks fantastic. I am a huge WM fan and it is hard to pry myself away from their bags. But……I think I will buy it.
I can’t sew either so I’m at the mercy of family to do the job. Luckily I have some extremely talented ladies in the family.
I’m lusting after a WM bag as well, (highlite or summerlite) but at least if I get BOTH bags, one can do double duty as the wife’s lightweight bag and she sleeps cold from what I gather. IE if I’m comfortable in a Devotion she would rather have the WM bag. We both have ~3lbs down 15deg bags at the moment.

HI, an FYI on the Devotion 40. I find I improve and update many items before I get a chance to rebuild the web page. The Devotion 40 now being made use the black Momentum 90 DWR top fabric. (A nice 1.1 olive green inside and bottom.) Much nicer than the prev, was 8″. Now also a wider standard girth than was on the BPL review. + about 2″-4″ of girth all added to the to the top for a bit more side coverage. Also switched to a slightly longer #3ykk water ressistant zip that is stiff enough to function well as an anti-snag feature and cut air seapage through the zip teeth. Alas…$10 more than listed. Right at 11.5oz. for a regular size for folks up to 6′.Thanks.
Wider bag cut or wider baffle spacing?
good question. Thanks for jumping in Ron, you saved me from emailing you about your fine bag. I am going to be ordering one!!
