The summer OR show is just a couple of weeks away and I guess, like previous years, BPL will be present to tell us about the most interesting and lightweight innovations that will be coming our way in 2007. Unfortunately, sometimes the result is more questions than answers. So this thread is ment to collect questions/things one would like to know about new gear which is already shown in other outdoor trade shows or mentioned in podcasts and which will be shown at OR this summer.
I’ll give some examples:
* Granite Gear will present a new pack called the Vapor Meridian (together with a woman specific pack Vapor Meridian Ki) which sounds like a combination of the Nimbus Meridian en the Vapor Trail. What I would like to know is what the volume is of this pack without the extension collar and ofcourse what the weight will be.
* second example: Primus has developed a new stove combination, Eta Power which combines a new stove with an integrated windshield and a cooking pot with jetboil fluxring stule heatexchanger. Weight of the complete kit is about 750 grams. Interestingly, pots (in a 1,2 L and a 1,7 L size) which will be compatible with most stoves on the market, will be available as seperate items. In other words, jetboil efficiency available for most stoves on the market. I’m interested in the weight of those pots?
I hope the idea is clear. Perhaps others have some questions too.
