Ben I have been carrying this on my truck keys for a year now. No problem in airports. Saved me when I needed to fix a headlamp in MN one backpacking trip.

I just use a sharp corner of something metal, and my fist.

Similarly, a second bottle works really well. I can find the YouTube video later, but it is very easy to master and requires no strength or stupidity (teeth, eye socket). Technique works using tent poles, chair legs, and a number of other hard edged objects…

I've got a simple quiksilver belt buckle that has a bottle opener on the back. Easy to use and it's usually with me:

also any standard key can be used. Automotive keys can be difficult, because of the smooth transitions of shape and such, but pretty much any house key works great.

Use the teeth as a prier, levered against the side of the bottle to pry open a couple of the bottle cap teeth, and it'll pop right off with a twist. Sounds more complicated than it is. As opposed to the full lever method of using a lighter, you're using the keys to actually pry open the cap clamp.

Sorry, don't know a better way to describe it.
