I did this last year, and have had no problems. I recieved a renewal from Backpacker at their rate, then just recently recieved an e-mail from Deekins offering a renewal at their very discounted rate. After a great transaction last year, I re-uped. I hope others have as much of a positive experience as I have.

I did the same and got a Backpacker Mag renewal in the mail. The next day, Deekins sent me an email. I have had NO problems doing it this way.
