Hi
I am planning to build a quilt. I will most probably buy a Thru-Hiker kit in Momentum. I would like to ensure the last foot or so of the quilt is fully waterproof as I plan to use a small tarp. I believe that Momentum is water repellent but is it adequate for protection against condensation from the tarp or rain splash etc? I haven't really been able to get a good feel about Momentum's capabilities.
If not, I will make the last couple of panels from Epic or 2 ply Goretex. I would appreciate any comments on the suitability of this approach.
Comments on doing something similar on the top panel for condensation from breath would also be welcome.
