Good choice, although the Arcteryx SL fabrics are actually the most burly stuff out there.
After endless searching for a 'perfect' balance of durability/waterproofness/weight, I went with the Arcteryx Alpha LT. Should have just gotten this a long time ago and saved the time… if you get it on sale you can get it for $150-100 off retail, which for true '4 season bomber' shell, its worth every penny.
Edit: Mine weighs ~14oz for a 3 layer Gore Pro Shell, 320 denier outer…. bomber and super packable
