Is there an UL trekking pole set that uses clips instead of the twist-lock mechanism? I'm a big fan of the clip locking but haven't seen them available for CF or any relatively light poles

BD and leki make them but there not UL. they have to maintain their lifetime warranties so they're way stronger. also way more expensive.

This is interesting, because there is a completely different sort of product that I compare these poles to.

In the photography world, we use carbon fiber tripods. In one particular brand, the twist-lock tripod legs weigh more and cost significantly more money than the ones with flip-lock latches. This comparison is for equal rated maximum loads.

Strange. I prefer the flip-lock latches.

FlickLock (R) is a Black Diamond registered name. So if it isn't a BD , it isn't a FlickLock.
The Leki version is call that SpeedLock .
Easton and Exped also have something similar to that.
The Leki Carbonlite (14.6 oz) are probably the lightest
