Does anyone wear the AKU Stone XRC… Featured in BP mag gear guide ’05 as “Best Buy.”
I wanted to atleast try some on for fit, but after googling, surfing and translating Italian, it seems I’m out of luck:( I couldn’t seem to find a US retailer at all…. mail order only?

I’m guessing AKU products are not available in the US?
Why would Backpacker magazine make these shoes “Best Buy”…. am I missing something or is this a case where an overseas manufacturer sent free shoes to the testers at BPM for a favorable review?
I think we can all agree that there are certain pieces of gear we “must” atleast try on before purchasing and shoes/boots are some of them…:)

OUTDOOR Magazine’s Gear issue featured a VauDe tent that you absolutely couldn’t find anywhere in the US!
