Hi, I am just getting into the whole ultralight backpacking style so I'm starting by replacing my sleeping bag, which is due for a replacement anyway. I've been looking at the Mountain Hardwear Ultralamina 32 bag, since I'm not so keen on going down and I'm on a budget. What are your thoughts on the bag?
I hike mostly in the Northeast, 3 season only (for now) but I also hike in California and the Pacific Northwest, the latter being very wet and one of the reasons I do not want to go down. My biggest concern is that the bag will be too cold, since I have been using a 20 degree REI bag and I've been pretty happy with that warmth. I am probably going to buy a 4oz 10 degree liner for colder trips.
