My Fathers Day gift was hike with my son.I was expecting alot more snow but was pleasantly surprised that there was no snow at all.
Kennedy Meadows–There was snow but at 9,000 ft plus and beyond.
There was no snow in these parts of the Sierras!!!

Unfortunately for me, my daughter has told me that she does not like camping. :(

I've been down that trail a couple of times but late-season with the dust and many, many horsies. Your timing seems much better!
