Actually I've been camping for 30 years, but this is my first time out with light weight gear. I was amazed how I couln't feel it on my back. I must've has 1/3 the weight I normally did before visiting this site. Here's my thoughts.

Osprey EXOS 50….FANTASTIC…I couldn't feel the pack on my back. Amazing fit…I'm 5'9" and 152 lbs. I'm thinking of buying a second in case they stop making them. I'm serious….very comfortable.

New Balance 910GTX 4E trail Running Shoes…FANTASTIC…I'm never going back to boots. My feet kept dry and comfortable.

Tyvec booties…FANTASTIC…slip them over your socks and it's in and out of the tent in seconds.

TT Contrail Tent…GOOD….It poured all night and not a single drop came in. I found it hard to move around without hitting the side walls and getting my down jacket wet.

Golite 20F Quilt….GREAT….it was 40 degrees at night and I was a bit chilled. I had room to move my legs and that's a plus.

Clik Alcohal Stove and Titanium pot…FANTASTIC….I'm never going back to canisters.

Buckmaster 520 knife….FANTASTIC…sharp and light.

Neoair pad….COMFORTABLE….and firmness was adjustable.

MontBell Down Inner Parka…FANTASTIC…light and warm.

That' it in a nutshell. I'm looking forward to more new items.

did you buy those from US Plastics?

Do they have a thick sole in any sense? Or is it just a bag of Tyvek?

I bought some tyvek booties that are just a small tyvek bag for the feet.. been using them as camp shoes. Keeps out bugs and water but sharp things can still hurt you a bit.

How much do your tyvek boot covers weigh?

Dont W,

Yes…I bought them at USplastics.com. They only cost around $2.50/pair. Here's what they call them,

Tyvek® Boot Cover With Vinyl Sole

The sole definately was more thick than a simple sheet of Tyvek. There is obviously a thicked sole. Sure I can feel sticks and pebbles under my feed, but for going from tent to stove…or tent to bathroom they are great.

I believe the weight was around 0.30 ounce per pair. I can throw them on my digital scale tonight and let you know the exact weight.

Re, Tyvek® Boot Cover With Vinyl Sole

Anybody put them on a scale to see the weight?

I was incorrect in my previous weight guess. I put a pair of the vinyl bottom Tyvek booties on my scale last night and a pair wieghs 1.35 ounces.
