I have been recommended to get a DriDucks laminate jacket (5oz) and have seen that the sizing may ride big. I usually get a large in all of my jackets and they fit well (5'l0, 185lbs Chubby).

Though I do like extra large for my outerlayer so it fits all below.

I'm 5'8", 235, and XL seems to allow plenty of room for wearing insulation layers underneath.

I'm 5' 11" , 140 lbs (real skinny) and use a medium.

It's pretty loose on me but just right for a really really lofty 14 oz Down Jacket (FUGU New Balance) + baselayer. I suspect that at 165 lbs, a medium would be OK for most layers of insulation.. just not a giant down jacket.

I see that you are 185.. I'd get the large or bigger. You can find these at many Dick's Sporting Goods on the east coast. I found them in NJ and in VA.

I would size down from what you noramally wear. I normally wear a medium and have a small dri ducks.

at http://www.froggtoggsraingear.com (think that is right) they have a size fitting chart.

The say that for men, the main reason for returns is because the jacket is too large, so look at the chart of chest size vs jacket size to better figure out a good size for you.

I normally wear Large and the DriDucks Large is really roomy, and the medium fits better for summer wear.

5'9" & 160, normally wear mediums. I was going to do as Bradford had suggested and get a small but I wore my Fugu into the store and decided the small wasn't quite big enough and the medium was just about right. If you don't need to be wearing puffy layers then I'd size down.

Just curious: two skinny hikers ever worn a pair of Driducks at the same time?

I have a medium driducks, and that's only because I could not find a small in any local stores, and I didn't feel like ordering one.

I'm 5' 10" 165 and the medium seems huge. It works, and might well be a little cooler in warm weather because it's baggy, but I'd like a small…I just can't find one.

They definitely run large, and I'd recommend a size down from your usual, unless you're really layering up.

S is monstrous!! I am 5'9" and 150 lbs. I normally wear a Medium. But the Driducks size S hangs on me like I am a scarecrow! Doable, but this "small" is bigger than most other manufacturers' "large"!! M is super huge.

I am the same. I want one jacket to fit summer through winter. So for me, I just buy my usual size in DriDucks and I get a jacket that has good airflow in warmer summer conditions, but can also fit over all my winter layers. The other option is to get two pairs, one for summer, one for winter. It still won't break the bank.

I'm about Ben's size and wear my husband's Large over myself while wearing my backpack– it's that huge. He is 6'2, 180 lbs. and the large swallows him. Size down.

i bought the trail pack, size large. at 6'0" 205lbs, i actually found the jacket too small and the pants a bit too big. the arm length is fine, but if i lift my arms up over my head, the jacket comes up above my belly button. i called DD and they can't replace just the jacket.
