Hi chiu. Is the leakage through the seam that you have circled? If so, you need to seal the seams with a silicone product, like McNett Silnett or a pure silicone caulk (like Silicone II in tubes). Dilute it with odorless mineral spirits so its the consistency of nail polish (1 part silicone to 3 parts thinner)and brush it on with a small paint brush (a foam brush works well).

If I missed the problem, then we need more information from you on where, when, and how the leakage occurs.

Happy hiking, Will

Carol (Brawny) Wellman is usually very prompt with replies to product issues. Try emailing her again. She and David (Rainmaker) MAY be out hiking and simply not have gotten your email.

Her email address is brawny03@yahoo.com

Chiu:

Carol handles all silnylon issues, not David. That may be why you got no reply.

I will send Carol an email and point her to this thread.

I hope settle water resistant question, but Dancing Light Gear suggest I in hong kong outdoor gear shop buy Silicone Water Guard, the tent is new, once use, immediately not water resistant and shelter leakiness white bubbles and white liquid!!!!!I not any more send e-mail to Dancing Light Gear, I search settle water resistant question
method, thank most all help me friends, thank

is Dancing Light Gear answer,

“Water resistant” means that a fabric will resist a
light rain shower for a few minutes, but eventually
moisture will leak through the fabric.

“Waterproof” means that water will not leak through
the fabric for extended periods.

You, and the person who ordered the shelter, have said
on several occasions that the material is waterproof.
We make no other claims concerning the fabric, such as
how long it will take it to dry under various
conditions.

In the 40 – 50 emails that I have received concerning
this matter, this is the first mention of white
bubbles forming on the fabric. I can only think at
this point that each time we address and answer an
inquiry from you concerning one matter, that another
matter will be raised.

I am sorry that you are not satisfied with the
shelter, however, as stated on the product page, this
was a custom order and it is not returnable. As we
have stated previously, we are not going to take a
loss on this shelter because you feel it takes too
long to dry.

I have no other information for you, and this will be
my final email to you.
