Keep in mind that retailers will dump stock that has batteries as they expire. It may still be a bargain, but don't expect full battery life. I bought some name brand LED lights on sale and the batteries died quickly.

Conversly, I have had good results buying bulk 2016 and 2032 coin cell batteries on Ebay. I do stick to name brands and those sellers with high turn-over in those products. Caveat emptor!

Don’t know if it is the absolute cheapest, but I came across a website that sells CR2016, CR2032 and other batteries, chargers and accessories at a lot lower prices than even Wal Mart. I ordered some and will report back on their delivery as well as the quality/longevity of their batteries.

I picked up some 2032s from dealextreme.com: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.751

They seem to work pretty well with my Petzl e+lite. These batteries are extremely cheap, with free shipping to boot.

HOWEVER, each time that I have ordered something from dealextreme.com, delivery has taken upwards of 2-3 weeks. If you're prepared to wait, they'll sell you all sorts of interesting gizmos for ultra-cheap. Sometimes you get what you pay for, sometimes you get a great deal.
