Gearing up for a summer backpacking high adventure with Scouts (San Juans – June – 5 nights out). Attempting to get them to learn more about nutrition / food weight. Developed a calorie calculator for the job. We’ll see how it goes.

EDIT: BTW, this is shared with the scouts via an Excel file. The above Google like it not editable and is just for illustration of the concept. When the numbers in the yellow column are changed from 0 to 1,2,…n in Excel the calorie and other data at the bottom changes.
