http://katabaticgear.com/shop/bristlecone-bivy/

I ordered on Mon., April 26. Received Wed. April 28. via USPS.

I have the 6’6″ model so I am not sure what if any added girth there is, but what I will say is that for me as a side sleeper, I had plenty of room to turn around in it and I am by no means a skinny person. The mesh window is a generous size as well. I am happy with the overall quality of the sewing and materials. The zipper seems smooth and didn’t get caught at all. Since I just got it, I can’t attest to how it handles condensation just yet.

One caveat is that Katabatic lists the 6’6″ model as weighting 7.2 ounces, my scale says 8.1 ounces. Not enough to bother me at all.

Here are a bunch of pictures that I took with my phone for your viewing pleasure!

Included chord for hang loop:

Open, you can see one of the built in pad tie offs, I am not sure how useful this is for me yet. But, it’s supposed to work with their quilts:

Closer look at the pad tie off:

Closed with my Regular size NeoAir and Montbell SS Down Hugger #3 inside.

Another note, I just noticed that the 2mm Cords is for attaching your sleeping pad and Katabatic Gear sleeping bag… more than likely I'll just use it to pitch up the hood.

Thanks Tony!

That looks like a really nice bivy. I'll be curious to know how it performs once you get a chance to try it out.

is there a loop to hold the mesh hood off your face? And is there material to cover your face, ala the extra hood on my Ti Goat bivy?
