MSR’s new stove – a lighter more packable version of the XGK Expedition stove, which reportedly weighs 12.6 oz (compared to 17oz for older model). Major changes are collapsible pot supports and a flexible fuel hose. Has anyone gotten first looks at this stove? Can verify weight?
BPL staff- any plans to review?

http://www.modernmountainman.com/catalog.php?type=product&id=44487Mar 3, 2005 at 7:30 am #1335972I have had a chance to handle this stove. It looks great, definitely a souped up version of the old. The rep said it is supposed to be a little quieter than the old XGK.
The legs and pot supports swivel to the side together on a solid axle. So they tuck in nice and close. The whole stove seems very sturdy. You could easily put fifty pounds on this stove if you could get that much weight balanced.
