1) I absolutely LOVE my Ex Officio Air Strip Lite shirt. I got it on super-duper discount at REI last month. It’s everything its cracked up to be. It is the most comfortable shirt I’ve worn in warm, humid temps. It’s really worth the price and the REI, EMS, etc. knock-offs just aren’t the same.
2) Gripclips rock. I have been a fan of these for a long time. However, it never occurred to me to use one on my Silshelter to deal with the footspace issue until I read someone’s review at backpackgeartest.org. That reviewed sewed a tie out to the footspace area. I’m no good sewing, so I substituted a grip clip. It worked brilliantly. I definitely recommend it to any of the few fellow Silshelter fanatics out there.
3) DEET. I don’t know what I’d do without it. ;-)
