Preseason.

I thought it would be a good time to get my gear together for the season. Most of this gear I used last year, and I want to refine my kit. I added some pictures because I am a visual learner, and also I think people just like looking at other’s gear. The base weight for this gear is about 9.5 lbs.

This is my three season kit. I normally hike in Southern California, the sierras and Southern Utah.

When I girlfriend goes hiking with me I only change a few things. Change out the tarp for a Tarptent Double Rainbow, a bigger 1.3lt pot and a canister stove.
