Need to wash and re-DWR some items.
Micro puff vest, a couple of windshirts.

Do you all see any problem using the nikwax wash-in on the vest? Would it have negative effect on insulation?

Also, any difference between “softshell proof” and TX-direct wash-in for windshirts?

Lastly, anyone know what “pure soap flakes” are sold as at retailers? Can’t seem to find at drugstore, trying to break Nixwax’s expensive monopoly. Thanks!

Went for it. Washed in the TX direct to windshirts and insulated vest, seems like it’s all good. DWR is good, insulation is fine. Now what am I gonna worry about?

Try using Sportwash by ATSKO and also there Fluoropolymer WATER-GUARD.The prices are much cheaper and in the time i’ve been using these 2 products they have worked as well as if not better than NIKWAX.
