Jetboil GCS or Evernew 1.3 with MSR XPD Heat Exchanger

I am thinking of combining one of the following with a Xtreme stove and was wondering which of the two people thought would be more efficent? Both have about the same weight. Also does anyone here have any information about building your own equivilent to an Xpd heat exchanger.
