why?

A lot of places have crazy rules about giveaways, like you must put the amount in escrow, etc. It's just easier legally to keep it in the States.

Nothing against our overseas friends. We aren't trying to exclude anyone.

We do ship to Australia and other countries if anyone is interested.

We have had a lot of entries. This will not be our only contest before the summer hits.

No crazy rules here, gifts freely accepted :)

Kind of a sneaky way to harvest a bunch of physical and email addresses. For the purpose of the contest, nothing more than email contact info, or a phone number, should be needed to alert the winner. I didn't see any mention of non-disclosure anywhere in the form–so SOS could sell our info to marketers who want to target people interested in outdoor activity

Just hoping to clarify what we do with the info we gather

We are not the kind of company that sells info. I promise.
What we are doing is getting to know our customers, and potential customers for our purpose.

We sell plenty of Outsak bags. We don't need to sell your info. I promise. It is not the way I do business.

The physical address is gathered to help screen double entrants. A home address is much more difficult to fake than an email account.
