I was working on modifying my Ion and after adding some pockets I wanted to add an extension collar. I am probably over thinking it, but how to actually do it has me a bit stumped. The problem i am having is with the circumference measurement. Any tips on how to get it exact would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I would lay the bag flat and measure the width of the bag. Multiply the width by 2 and you get the circumference. Add a seam allowance and you can make your collar.

Bender – Thanks for the suggestion. I did find a way to make it work and I should have it finished tonight.
Be sure to get some pictures! I really like the Ion but I cant justify another pack.
