Western Mountaineering Group purchase, 20% off!

Is Paramount Sports still doing this group buy? I emailed Travis on 5/5 and have gotten no response.

Hello, yes he is still doing the purchase. We need 7 more people, we have three so far. I would try emailing him again. I sent him an email a while ago and he did not answer it. But yesterday I sent him one and he answered just today. He said he is having some problems with his computer, so dont get discouraged if he doesnt answer. So, I would just send him another one. :)

I just got a email from Travis saying he is unable to do a group purchase at this time. Darn it!

I got the same thing and apparently this is why:

“Unfortunately there was a thread posted online and it violated their pricing policy. WM is very concerned about retailers discounting their merchandise. They want to maintain the integrity of their product and maintain margins for their retailers.

I recieved a call from WM asking very nicely that we not offer their goods online at a discount.”

Gary Peterson from WM wrote to say that was a small private deal between a group of friends and the owner of Paramount Sports. It was not for the public. So don’t write Travis!

i saw the same deal on backpacker and bpl and they filled those orders.
