Howard–you may want to know that I did some checking into this…..
last year's model is 45 lumens, while this year's is 70 lumens. If that's not a worry to you, then no biggie.
But, the reason I got this is because Princeton Tec's website said this is 70 lumens. Except the DONT say that last years was only 45. I contacted REIs customer service and they are not able to determine how many lumens this particular one has.
PT's customer service was great and said that when I get the package it should say what the lumens are. And, they gave me a date code as to when exactly the updated model begins.
"The date code is on the inside of the light, if the date code is 0810 or later (i.e. 0910, 1010) it will be the updated light also the Lumens will be on the outside of the packing."
Just thought I'd let you know.
