    @zcdawson

    I’m not to good at making spread sheets (if anyone wants to send me one I will fill it out). Anyway here is a 3 season, 10 day trip list.

    Cook set: 33 oz    This is everything from fuel to the water filter.

    Sleeping: 102.32 oz    Includes tent, pad, quilt, pillow, tent steaks and guy lines

    Utility: 67.2   first aid, bug stuff, lotion, sunblock, fire kit, flashlight, toiletries, camera, knife, multi tool, chair, soap.

    Pack: 31 oz

    I don’t carry a lot of clothes, usually just 5 pairs of darn tough socks, sock liners, 2 pair of long underwear, one long sleeve shirt and two pair of underwear, one t shirt. All the cloths are wool or tri blend.

    I know its hard to pick apart without a list. Sorry about that. I weighed the pack and it came in at 14.6 lbs with everything. 10 days of food is usually around 10 lbs for me and I carry 3 liters of water (have never completely recovered from heat stroke I got years back).

    A lot of folks use

    for their pack list needs.

    That is a lot of clothes.  Definitely need more detail for the crowd here to rip apart. In a good way.

    Ok here is the list

    I would like lighter boots but I need the stiffness for my ankle. I know there are lighter hydration systems but being able to blow that one up acts like a support in the pack. I like the chair, I’ve had chair envy:)

    I’m willing to give any advice a go at least one time tho

    I love that episode…  it shows him drinking from a puddle (“He claims he’s never gotten sick…”)

    Then at the end he walks away and it shows Aquamira in his mesh pocket  (18:34 in video) …  oops

    Haha.. I’ll look for it but when I got heat stroke I was drinking out of puddles then laying down in them. It was a long hike back to the truck and I’m glad I had the boys with me to carry my gear.

    Lint does treat his water on rare occasions he doesn’t talk about it in that video or give a gear list so for that you can watch Linthikes 2017 5lb Ultra light gear list .or  Lint’s 2015 CDT ultralight gear list . These are just an example to help you see what is possible, you have to make your own decisions as to what you are comfortable with or without, a lot of weight can be saved by leaving unnecessary items behind but that has to be up to the individual.
