Does anyone have experience sewing with this fabric? Is it breathable and how much does it weigh?

I am looking to make a shirt and pants for desert hiking and am wondering if this is suitable.

Thanks

I hope you try it, so we can read the report. I want to build my own when I settle on a fabric. I am totally unimpressed with off the shelf warm weather hiking pants and shirts. Some have good fabrics, but meh.

Well, I found out a little bit more. It is a kind of supplex nylon ~3.1 oz/yd. with a coating that blocks the majority of UV rays (I saw ratings of 30 to 50 upf). It is supposedly breathable and somewhat windproof. I guess I will give it a try and let you all know how it goes. Might take a little while as I still have a couple projects to finish first.

Adam,

Just wanted to let you know that there's at least one more of us wondering how it is. Looks like it might be worth getting over more standard Taslans/Supplexes, but I wonder if it's less breathable.

Thanks!
