Vasque Blur, Velocity and Celerator

I have these and they fit me well. They are true to there size and have a fairly wide toe area which I need.They breathe so well, also.

I have a pair of Velocity VST's I bought in a local gear shop last summer. They felt great at the time but I didn't really wear them. I was trying to finish killing off a pair of older GoLites. I took them out last weekend and am pretty dissatisfied. While the width and cushioning seem ok, my toes were sliding into the toebox and I was left with some pretty sore piggies at the end of the weekend. I had never experienced that before and was a little disgruntled.

Isn't it interesting that some of the products that are most heavily marketed in a given category turn out to be the most disappointing? I remember seeing that shoe all over the place.

Shoe has good cushion.

I have been using the Blurs since early last season. I have a wide forefoot and always a problem finding a good fit. The Blurs are probably the most comfortable in that regard of any shoe I have worn.

I've recently gone through trying all sorts for trail runners as I'm transiting from a heavy boot to lightweight backpacking. I chose the Vasque blur because it has a much firmer shaped heel than most other trail runners and this is a feature I've found myself continually choosing in my running shoes as well as my biking shoes. I also like the slightly wider and less pointed toe box to allow some movement and flexibility but not have my toes feel like they're being funneled forward into a point after lots of hiking (if that makes sense). I typically wear an 11 in most shoes but found 11.5 more comfortable because of the slightly firmer heal shape.

I used Velocity's on my 2007 AT thru-hike, and I found them to be extremely comfortable and well-fitting. I got over 1000 miles out of my first pair, too, which I think speaks well to their durability.

I've stopped using them since discovering other trail runners with wider toe-boxes. I lost both of my little toenails because of the relatively narrow toe box of my Velocity's. I haven't tried the newer wide sizes for the Vasques, but I'm hesitant to try since I'm perfectly happy with the fit of my New Balance sneakers– that's not to say NB is better, they're just a better fit for MY feet.

Wear a size 12, hiked through 6" of slush for 2 days in them and have worn them to work for the past 3 weeks. Seem pretty comfortable but they are my first pair of trail runners. Good deal for 55 bucks.

I wear a 12 in everything, my Garmont Eclipses seem large when I start a hike and I have to tighten them a lot. My Vasque Clarions always fit pretty well. My adidas skate shoes with rubber toes are super tight.

These fit well with big socks, with ultralight socks they are a little roomy in the office.

Been using theese shoes for over 10 years. Nice and stiff and fit me well. I find them true to size.
