I recently purchased a tarp that has bug netting that can be folded down. Similar to SMD Wild Oasis. Has anyone had experience with these setups? Do they really keep the bugs out? What, if any, do you use for a floor? Bivy? They seem to be the lightest option for me…
keep the flying ones out, but obviously the creepy crawlies will not be deterred.
What tarp did you buy?
I like the GG polycro for groundcloths.
Its a 2 person, dancing light tacoma UL shelter. Very similar to Anti gravity gear shelter. Floorless design with lots of tie out points and 360 degrees of mesh. I recently bought it so I haven't been able to try it out. PLus we have tons of snow here in the east.
