Anybody know of a good technique to seam seal a seam between a silicone coated product like 1.4 oz silnylon and a non-silicone fabric? For example, a bivy with a goretex top with a silnylon bottom. Non silicone sealers won't adhere to the silnylon at all, so that's obviously a no-go, but will SilNet or hardware store silicone adequately seal with other nylons?
I tested a small area of the goretex with silicone goop and it seems to be sticking very well, wondering if anyone else has run in to this. It seems like there are enough manufacturers making sil-bottomed bivys that it must have a solution?
