I like my Powerstretch tights for a winter base layer, and I'd like to buy a hoody made of the same material.
Can anyone comment on either of these jackets?

Both have thumb loops and a full zip. I think I'd take an XL, given the sizing, though I normally wear a Large (comments on sizing??) I have seen the Wild Things pullover, but I really want at least a half zipper to vent.
This is for winter backpacking in the Southern Appalachians, mostly as a base layer around camp, but also for use while hiking in unusually cold conditions. It would replace a microfleece zip tee.
Feb 15, 2010 at 11:21 am #1574041Just throwing another one into the mix, though i haven't worn it, the Rab Power Stretch Hoody

Looks nice, can I buy it from an outfitter in the USA?
Feb 15, 2010 at 12:05 pm #1574062I would think so Ken. Rab gear is widely available in the US now. The Power Stretch Hoody is a new product though.

-from the warmpeace website. Nice.
Feb 15, 2010 at 5:40 pm #1574194Also throwing it out there: R1 Hoody. Everything here looks like it is based on it. I used the R1 alone or with a Patagonia Capilene 1 SS and/or LS underneath.
Feb 15, 2010 at 7:28 pm #1574255I have one of these I picked up a few years ago at REI on sale. Newer version has bamboo-carbon, I'm assuming for odor control.
Lists at 12.17 ounces and my medium weighs . . . 12.17 oz.
