anybody out there ever done such a thing? anybody interested? it's about 70 miles so could take 7 days give or take. it's not a big snow year and the weather is so warm right now it seems like a good year to try.

Interesting idea. If the weather remains stable it would be feasible, but keep in mind it's still winter and things can change fast; You are definitely well back in the interior, so GPS plus either PLB or sat phone would be prudent in case things go south. Escape routes preplanned with GPS coordinates marked also advisable, along with a couple days extra food in case you have to go to ground. Avalanches would be a major hazard if you got a heavy dump 2-3 days in. 7 days might be optimistic if you encounter extensive icy conditions. Lots to think about.

Even at half of that and including melt, there's going to be a lot of snow. There are snowpack reporting stations scattered around the Cascades and you can look up the actual amounts of snow at various locations. Search for that and it might be useful.
It definitely looks like it's going to be an early high country hiking season out here, that's for sure!
