Hey everyone,
I just read that Christopher Plesko, a fellow BPL'er finished the Arrowhead 135 mile bike ride in 27:24:00.
This is an arctic race that dips down to around -35 almost every year.

With only one gear, and eight pound fat bike wheels!
I was stoked when I saw Plesko's name on the participatory roster awhile back. I was even more stoked when I saw his name come through on the finishing results blog.
Also of interesting note, Zach Gingerich from Illinois set a new record for the foot category for men coming in at about 38 hours 15 minutes. That's a healthy average pace of 3.5 mph over 135 miles. Keep in mind the temperatures during the race were hovering around 0 deg F during the day and -20 deg F at night.
