So personal experiance is causing me to question
some of the fabric breathability dogma. I find
that unlined 2 layer Goretex pants produce less sweating while cross country skiing than the gaiters
of eVent worn at the same time and that an Epic
jacket breathes even better as do Epic gaiters.
i’ve seen test results at Mark Verbers site that measure such things, but it doesn’t say if they
were 2 or 3 layer laminates. 2 layer are much
more breathable than 3 layer versions. It also
didn’t mention what fabrics the Epic was coated
on.
Anybody have more info?
