A few folks and I are thinking of heading up to the White Mountains of New Hampshire for two day hikes (not backpacking, really, but still hiking) on the weekend of Jan 23-24. We have no plan as to which mountains to go up yet, but we're thinking of renting one of Dartmouth Outing Club's cabins near Gorham or getting a cheap motel and splitting costs so we can relax in the evening with heat and beds.
The plans are pretty vague so far, intentionally. Anybody want to join in? We're planning on getting to the Whites on the evening of the 22nd (friday), then doing a big hike on Saturday, and a short hike on Sunday.
