Hello everyone, as you may know, we are making the transition to switch fulfillment from California to Montana today. This thread will be used to update progress about that transition, and to answer any questions you may have during and after the process.

First, inventory will be removed from all products on the website, and all products will be removed from the backpackinglight.com store for a short time.

This process will begin at 1:15 PM Pacific Time, so you have about 1.5 hours remaining in the Gambler's Sale, before all of these deals evaporate for good :)

The BPL Store has now been taken offline for maintenance, and will be back a little later this afternoon.

The Gambler's Sale is now over – thank you all very much for helping us liquidate our CA inventory. It's really nice not having to ship and truck all of this stuff back to Montana!

Any update on when the new inventory will be in?

like the new cocoon stuff that I hear about? :)

A bunch will be in stock later this afternoon.

A bunch more will trickle in over the next few weeks.

I'm scheduling production on the big stuff later this month, and that's when I'll have an idea on Cocoons et al.

We've completed the transition for fulfillment from CA to MT and the store is now back online with Montana inventory.

We've only put items back online that have physical stock, and we'll continue to add more in the next few weeks as new stock comes in.

What you see in the store now either (a) has stock or (b) we intend to keep in stock continuously. In the case where we have stock now but where we'll be keeping intermittent inventory, we'll move those items to a different section of the store where you can more accurately monitor its availability and production schedules. The types of items that fall into this category will typically be larger items like some apparel, shelters, packs, bivies, etc.

Thanks for your patience during this transition!
