Seeking GPS software for a UTStarcom/Sprint 6700. It runs Windows Mobile 5 (not Pocket PC.)
I’ve found the “streetmap” style GPS software, but seemingly nothing for the backcountry. And especially not in Canada!
The 6700 is ideal: high-speed data and mini keyboard for updates from the trail when coverage is found. To make it “multi-purpose,” though, it should function as a GPS too. There are GPS devices for it but I can’t seem to find “trail”-style software.
Anyone found any options?
Thanks!

Apr 5, 2006 at 11:54 pm #1354243I’ve tried a few and currently use http://www.backcountrynavigator.com/ on my WM5 device. It’s still in development but being able to use USGS topos maps is key for me. There’s a useful pda/sp forum at http://gpspassion.com.
