Dec 29, 2009 at 11:28 pm #1557981How does your Jam2 weigh 9.6oz? These packs are 20-25oz from GoLite. Did you do some impressive chopping?
You've got a pound between your gloves and mittens. This seems excessive. Since you're just doing day trips I would only bring one of these.
The 'loong' 5oz scarf seems impractical since most of it just hangs there. A neckwarmer would do the same function for much less weight, but it also wouldn't flap in the wind with so much class.
Why do you need two hats for a day trip?
Do you need crampons?
Dec 30, 2009 at 12:36 am #1557989Glove/Mitten weight is up there but i generally find myself climbing quite a bit and the gloves provide more dexterity but less warmth… and keeping warm dry hands is far easier with both pairs…
perhaps if i had a pair of gloves warm enough to rival my current mitts i could loose the second pair
Yeah a balaclava would do the trick but…
βTo do a dull thing with style-now THAT'S what I call art.β
Charles Bukowskiso the tweed scarf rocks on for now
two hats for temp regulation but I suppose one would take care of my needs… so one it is
Definately need crapmons…
I have microspikes and use em when possible.
