I spent one night in my Rainbow in off and on rain, cold temps (got down to 37) and no breeze whatsoever. Needless to say there was quite a bit of interior condensation that resulted in lots of interior raining. Is this to be expected in the circumstances described?

Hi Jeff,
Did you have the netting all zipped up? I’ve had similar experiences in cold, wet weather but have found that leaving the door zipped open helps a lot. Also, if it’s not windy (as was the case for you), try deploying the beak partway — that’s what the velcro straps are for halfway up the beak — to get more airflow going through the shelter. It’s designed to still shield the interior floor but allow a lot more airflow. Call/write if you need help with it.

Thanks for feedback Henry. If I have it out in the rain again I will give both things a try. In my case I had the door zipped shut and the beak was closed all the way.
One thing I did notice as well after staying for one night was water dripping through in 2 different spots on the bottom seam of the back window. Would you suggest seam sealing for that area? Inside / Outside / Both? I can give you a call as well.
thx, jeff
Yes, definitely put some sealer along that bottom seam on the back wall vent. Maybe inside too while you’re at it since the netting overlay on the outside makes it hard to ensure that sealer flows all the way into the seam.
