Sorry for all the posts but someone just asked me to ask. Thanks.

Not any durable ones that I know of. Platypus 2+L and Evernew 2L weigh 1.3L and 1.5L respectively.

A few days ago a poster here revealed the possible uses of these bulk coffee bladders and behold, yesterday a colleague brought in a couple of boxes of Starbucks. They are strong, lightweight and even hold hot liquid. The price was right. Check 'em out if you get the opportunity.

4 litre wine bladders.
Er – empty the wine out in a responsible manner first … :-)

Cheers

It'd have to be mylar to me.

I found a widemouth 2 liter container (32 grams) at Big Lots for 3 bucks that weighs a few grams lighter than the latest platypus 2 liter water bottle (36 grams).

Hi John:

@ your link, I see only narrow mouth mylars — like this:

How durable are these containers? And what's the weight? Thanks.

Hello

Interesting, the initial cleaning process might take the better part of the afternoon :)

I know the Franzia 5L wine bladders are all plastic and weigh 2.2oz. I guess I am going to have to find some of the others and try them out.

Ben, I have the margarita 2 liter and it is plastic just like a platypus with a mouth slightly larger than a widemouth 1 liter aquafina bottle. It weighs 32 grams. And it stands up too just like the platys. I just found these about a week ago, so don't have reports of durability. They should hold up as well as a platypus, but that remains to be seen.
