The light bulb came on while sorting through some stuff and coming across some of the small size UL inflatable pillows (sold on BPL): put it inside the hood of your sleeping bag rather than outside where it can squirt off into the darkness.

Good idea Dale. I had the same issue when I first tried mine. Then, Ben2World suggested the above solution. It really works.
