I was at our local Marshall's this weekend – they have merino wool half-zip tops and long bottoms for only $19.99 – bought a couple for myself. The brand is Kombi…seems really nice for a lot less than SmartWool or Icebreaker.

I saw a lot of Kombi wool base layers at T.J.s but reading the label found they were wool blends and I wasn't sure about them but found a mid-wt. Smartwool half zip for 29.99 that I snapped up.
I found a waterproof softshell this weekend at Marshall's for less. Also saw the Merino wool base layers.
I've got a smart wool shirt for 5 $ in local marshal, sometimes there will be some amazing deals.
