Any Hikers in IL?

Good question. No, there are not.

I lived there for 27 years. Best hike I ever took was the one leaving the State!

Just getting back into the groove of things, I live in Southern Indiana and planning to hit any trail every weekend from now until Summer (going to Mexico to snorkel).

I am living in IL during the school year. I haven't found anywhere to hike here though. I think there might be some decent trails in southern IL but that is so far from me that I would be more likely to just go out of state or go home. I looked into doing a 1-2 night trip at starved rock until I found out you can't camp in the park outside of the RV campground… fail.

Another Hoosier here. As part of my BSA Wood Badge project, I identified this non-exhaustive list of potential places to backpack (within 8 hours of Terre Haute) but I haven't been to many yet to know how good they are:
