Thom, do your new Prophet packs seem to look as gray as mine does in the daylight? From your pics they look so much… richer in color.

The MLD pack in the picture you posted looks more like the lighter 09 color to me but pictures can be deceiving. The pictures I posted of the 2010 Prophet and the SuperProphet appear darker then your pack.

If you click over to “Most Awesome Sternum Straps” post and scroll down to the last post made by Ron — he stated there:

“Hey All-

This would only apply to packs from about the last 4- 6 weeks and only to the newest darker color ones.”.

That should answer your question above.

Looks like that is the 09 Prophet to me. If you ordered a new 2010 and got that I would Contact Ron.

Yeah… I sent an email to Ron about the strap, as per his post in the other thread. He replied that he thinks I may have the 2009. I thought I had a 2010, since when I ordered it I specified that I wanted the newer 2010 with the darker Carbon Dyneema… and Ron said it would be just that. My bad if have the 2009, as I am sure the sternum strap is fine as is… not trying to get anything free I don't deserve. I am a bit unsure about which year Prophet I ended up getting, but I did put an email in to Ron about it. Thanks for the replies!

Well, Ron says I got the 2010, so I am stoked! Phew… Andrew, you had me worried for a second ;) Ron is great and is sending me the new strap. I feel like a tosser for having asked him about which pack I ended up with, so I will be sending a holiday fruit cake his way…

Anyhow, I went home for lunch to snap a few new pics, and with the flash and a bit less daylight, it looks pretty much the same as the beauties Thom posted

Haha, I know Andrew! I was just teasin' ya ;) Main thing I was thinking… "well, if this is the 2009, then how in the hell did he improve on this thing?". All is good!
