Being out of action with a stress fracture for the past month has given me a lot of time to study my gear spreadsheet and I noticed that my headlamp, the Petzl Tikka XP, although a great light (I love the diffuser), is probably more light than I need.
I have started looking for a lighter replacement that uses AA or AAA batteries, and provides enough light to start a day before the sun comes up, or finish a day after sunset. I came across the Black Diamond Gizmo (1.2oz). Does anyone have any experience with this light or another one I should check out?
