Anyone have any insight as to the wicking ability of bamboo fiber as compared to some of the wool / man made 'things' we are putting close to our skin? This includes sox, under 'garments' for layering etc. Thoughts please….. :)

I tried a pair of Injinji's bamboo socks and won't repeat the experience. I used them on a 4 mile walk to work, and they behaved like cotton: they got sweaty and stayed wet for a long time. At work, my feet were still freezing after an hour. I took them off and my feet immediately warmed up. It's sad that I was better with no socks than with them.
