I have found a picture of a lake that is supposedly in the Glacier Peak national forest in Washington state. I was told it's elevation was around 7k. To put it lightly…I NEED to find this lake and go there. If anyone could help out in this, I would be greatly appreciated. Mt. Rainer appears to be about 3 ranges to the south.Glacier Peak Wilderness Lake

Just to make things clear, there is no "Glacier Peak National Forest." There is a Glacier Peak Wilderness, which is in two national forests.

Brad – it's probably Lower Ice Lake. I've inserted a shot from the other side of the lake below. One trip report is here: http://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7978215&highlight=ice+lake

And while you can see Rainier from that area, Rainier is quite a distance away from anywhere near Glacier Peak. Probably what you think is Rainier is Glacier Peak instead (also a volcano). Glacier Peak is up north, where as rainier is mid state.

That's a pretty lake! I saw the most amazing lake in Glacier Peak Wilderness, too. But my camera was broken!
